Apeejay School of Management started its Orientation Program for Batch 2016-18

Apeejay School of Management started its orientation program for their 24th Batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (2016-18), on 9th June, 2016. At the inaugural function, Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, ASM welcomed new batch of students. In his address he stressed on role of learning and offering alternative decisions. 
Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication shared his thoughts and perspectives with the new batch. He emphasized that the students need to be curious and while achieving greater heights managers should never forget about their responsibility towards the under privileged and society at large. Prof.(Dr.)Sanjeev Mittal, Dean, USMS, GGSIPU, speaking as Chief Guest on that day, highlighted about the criticality of 4E’s which stands for energy, energizer, edge and execution. Mr. Vivek Kumar, Chief Human Resource Officer, Indus Tower, shared his views on how to become professionally competent in the corporate. He also emphasized on developing the ethical conduct, curiosity, thinking, application skills, observation skills, team work, time management and leadership skills.
The orientation program of the new students continued for 3 weeks and concluded on 30th June, 2016. During this period, the students went through a number of bridge courses on subjects like Economics, Quantitative Technique, Principles of Management and Financial Accounting, besides, number of sessions were conducted by corporate experts. The students were also apprised of different rules, procedures and systems of the institute relating to attendance, discipline, communication, pedagogy, assessment systems etc. The students were also exposed to yoga and meditation sessions. On the final day, the students presented a talent show.
