Apeejay Stya University organizes orientation programme for academic year 2012-13


Apeejay Stya University (ASU), India’s first Liberal Arts & Meta University, on Tuesday started its five-day orientation programme for the academic year 2012-13 at its campus in Gurgaon.


The orientation programme is focussed on different aspects of academic and administrative systems of the University in order to benefit the new students. This five-day long programme will facilitate the students to interact with business leaders from different fields.

Mr. Sanjay Vidyarthi, MD Telmark Network Technologies was the Guest of Honour and Mr. Arun Arora, Group Head & Exec VP, GVK group was the Chief Guest of the programme. 

Addressing the students Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Co-Founder & Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University said, “We are extremely happy to be with the new batch at the start of this wonderful new session. Today, the world wants students, who can create their own footprint in the sand of life; who can take charge of their own life. With this, we believe that you will not only succeed but create your own footprint for others. ASU prepares students with right potential which makes them efficient not only for their first job, but also for the entire career and life at large. With best of knowledge and skills their most important thing is to think for themselves and apply what they learn and continue learning, perhaps updating their knowledge.”

While interacting with the students, Mr. Aditya Berlia, Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor of ASU emphasized on multidisciplinary approach and acknowledged how the entire job market is changing around the world. Adding to that, he said, “Those students having holistic knowledge and multidisciplinary talent would prosper in life.”

Besides, the Dean from different schools of ASU presented their thoughts on their respective departments and gave different valuable insights about the current trends and their future.The long discussion on the inaugural day of the programme ended with an ice breaking session by Mr. Aditya Berlia.
