Maxfort School, Dwarka organized a Teachers’ Training Worshop on Pronunciation, Stress and Intonation on 14th December, 2013. The resource person for the same was the school Principal, Ms. Priyanka Bhatkoti , a Cambridge certified CELTA professional , and Ms. Amita Arora (TGT) English . Teachers from Sankalp Sahodaya cluster were invited to participate and empower themselves to prepare their students to communicate effectively. Teachers enthusiastically participated from premium schools of Dwarka . The training session was initiated with an icebreaker activity that helped them to get acquainted with each other and explain importance of Communicative Language Teaching. The structure of the exam was explained and components of evaluating the students on various parameters were discussed. Ms. Priyanka Bhatkoti trained teachers in pronunciation and stress on phonemic knowledge for teachers and students This elaborated an importance of “stress” in words and sentences to communicate the meaning effectively. Ms. Amita Arora trained teachers on the importance of intonation in teaching practice. The teachers had a memorable morning where Nurturers were Nurtured.
