After the decision of Supreme Court appointed Monitoring Committee dated 24th September, 2019 about 5000 gym operators and other people connected with it are panic stricken. Under the leadership of Dronacharya Awardee Bhupender Dhawan, Gym Operator Shri Punit Singh, Shri Harmeet Singh and Fitness Expert Dr. Prateek, a delegation met Leader of Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta, Org. General Secretary Shri Siddharthan, General Secretary Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Vice President Shri Rajeev Babbar and apprised them about their problems. A BJP delegation will meet the Union Urban Development Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri in connection with the demands of the Gym operators tomorrow.
LOP Shri Vijender Gupta said that the demands of Gym Operators are justified BJP stands with them because during the tenure of Congress Government, it was mentioned in the Master Plan 2008 that no Gyms could be opened in Delhi either in the commercial or residential area which is completely unjustified. He assured the Gym operators that justice will be done to them and nobody will be rendered unemployed.
Pradesh Org. General Secretary Shri Siddharthan said that Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi had given a slogan Hum Fit to India Fit for the common people to be physically fit. In such situation the decision to close the gyms which help in fitness is not justified.
Pradesh General Secretary Shri Kuljeet Singjh Chahal said that due to the wrong decisions made by the Congress Party the innocent people are suffering because 5000 gyms are on the verge of being closed down. It will also result in rendering one lakh people unemployed and lakhs of people will deprive of their fitness facilities being provided by the gyms and their health will also be adversely affected.
