Delhi Malayalee Association (DMA) was established in 1949, as a premier socio cultural organization of around one million Keralites living in Delhi consisting of 24 Areas spread all over Delhi.
Dwarka Area got its prominence by way of its dedicated work towards the welfare of Malayalee Community and its special initiatives to showcase art and culture of Kerala to the people of Delhi as well as the outside world. It aims at promoting national integration, social welfare, educational advancement, women’s empowerment and fostering a sense of fraternity among the people without any barrier of religion, caste, creed, politics or social status.
It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that DMA, Dwarka Area is celebrating ONAM on Saturday, the 16th September 2017 at NSS Centre (Near Sports Complex), Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi-75 from 5.30 PMonwards.
The Chief Guest for the Onam celebration will be Dr.V.P.Joy, IAS, Central Provident Fund Commissioner. There will be cultural programmes with Naadan Paattu, Thiruvathira, Light Music and series of other programmes showcasing Kerala’s rich heritage and cultural variance. The traditional “ONA SADYA” (feast) on plantain leaves will also be served on conclusion of cultural programmes on coupon basis.
