Dwarka Forum Governing Body Meeting was held with Shri R. K. Singh Chief Engineer (Dwarka) and other senior Officers of Delhi Development Authority on 21-6-2019 at DDA office, Mangla Puri, Palam, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Dwarka Forum (DF) discussed several Civil, Horticulture and Electrical related issues of Dwarka Sub City pertaining to DDA in details.
DF raised CIVIL issues ranging from : 1) Worst condition of Vacant Plots, which are now converting to dumping ground for Malba, garbage, 2) Desilting of SW drains before the monsoon season and covering of all open SW drains to avoid accidents and spreading of diseases, 3) Construction of LSC/ CSC as already earmarked by DDA, 4) Construction of broken boundary wall/gates of all parks under DDA, 5) encroachment on footpaths and markets etc, DF raised ELECTRICAL issues : 1) Re-placement of broken/rusted street light poles, 2) Removal of replaced / junked poles from the footpaths/roads etc, 3) Replacement of sodium bulbs with SED lights.
DF also discussed the issues related to HORTICULTURE 1) Poor condition of DDA maintained parks, 2) regular pruning of branches of trees particularly those covers traffic signals and street lights, 3) maintenance of termite ridden trees etc. After detailed discussions Chief Engineer assured that the matter will be taken up with Land Disposal Department to speed up the process of auction of such plots earmarked for LSC/CSC, As for as CSC plot of Sector-8, partially under the possession of SDMC, DDA will address letter to Commissioner, SDMC for handing over the vacant possession and action will be taken for repairing of the broken boundary wall with fencing after removal of Malba from the site. Chief Engineer informed DF that intersection of all MP roads of Dwarka Sub City are being surveyed for improvement, beautification and making them padestrial friendly. CE informed that construction of Sports Complex in Sector -17 already started. Another drive for removal of encroachment from the markets will be commenced soon. CE also informed that DDA is considering to develop Bharat Vandana Park with the help of NBCC.
DF recommended a NODLE OFFICER for all DDA related issues, CE deputed SE(HQ), DWARKA, DDA as NODLE Officer. It was also decided that DF will conduct Survey with the help of Horticulture Department of DDS to find out Traffic Signals/Street Lights covered with branches of trees. It was also decided that Officials of WD-2 Division of DDA along with Governing Body Members of DF will jointly conduct survey to find out broken boundary walls of the parks. Chief Engineer and his team took a note of all the point raised, which come up during the discussions. The meeting was conducted in very good atmosphere and CE assured to take all possible steps to make citizens life more comfortable.
