DWARKA FORUM meeting was held with Chief Engineer (Dwarka), Delhi Development Authority on 2nd June, 2022 at his Office. The Executive Engineers of various Civil and Electrical Divisions of DDA (Dwarka Zone) were also present.
Dwarka Forum handed over a letter to Chief Engineer (Dwarka), DDA on various issues of Dwarka Sub City pertaining to Delhi Development Authority.
DF discussed in details the status of work undertaken on the issues came out during sector-wise Joint Surveys conducted by Delhi Development Authority and Dwarka Forum e.g. construction of some internal roads, carpeting of certain MP roads, laying of pawer blocks on both sides of few main roads, repairing of broken boundary walls of DDA’ s Vacant land, inter connecting and de-silting of SW drains, covering of open drains/ sewers, development and beautification of existing roundabouts etc.
The issues related to improvement in traffic conditions : (i) Tunnel Road or underpass at Palam Railway crossing and Shahbad Mohammadpur Railway Crossing; (ii) Flyover at Dwarka More near T-Point; (iii) Widening and development of Palam-Dwarka Flyover; (iv) Widening and beautification of road including the construction of rotary at Dabri More, (v) Flyover at the intersection of Sector-1,2,6&7 on Road 201, (vi) Flyover at Rajapuri Chowk (Road No.201) and (vii) Development of Slip roads at different crossings in Dwarka Sub-City, etc were also discussed.
The requirement of multilevel Parking facilities at various sectors; (i) Near markets of Sector 4,5,11&12 (ii) Near markets of Sector 6 & 10; (iii) Near Ramphal Chowk market at Sector-7, (iv) Near Medical Council of India Sector-8, were also requested by DF.
The issues related to development and beautification of intersections to make footpaths/service roads pedestrian friendly, painting of Zebra Crossings and Installation of left out iron grills on Road No. 201, 224 and 226 were requested.
DF also requested for development and disposal of vacant plots already earmarked for community Shopping Centres, Local Shopping Centres, Religious Body Plots and plots for school, malls, etc.
The maintenance of triangle shaped vacant land adjoining to all major inter-sections were also discussed.
DF also requested for repair of broken/ partially broken (blue coloured) high rise direction boards already installed on MP roads;
Certain issues related to electrical division such as (i) installation of high rise street light pole at some major crossings, (II) electrification of all dark spot areas; (iii) Installation of High Rise Street lights at certain roads were also part of discussion.
It was also decided that Division-wise Coordinators, will be nominated among the volunteers of DF to coordinate with the concerned divisions of DDA, Dwarka Zone.
The Chief Engineer and other Senior Officials of DDA, Dwarka Zone took a note of all the points that emanated during discussions and assured all possible steps to make citizen’s life more comfortable. CE also assured to forward some issues related to other concerned divisions of DDA.
