Security in Dwarka:
Deputy Commissioner of Police(South West) office is located in Sector-19. Sh.Anil Kumar Ojha(IPS) is the DCP-South West and always eager to maintain law & order of his area. 
Dwarka Police Stations- Dwarka being a large, spread out area, managing it requires people, adequate infrastructure and good planning. With a view to have better policing and in keeping with the growing needs and demands of the expanding sub city, the police have revamped the system. The DCP office has been shifted to Dwarka and is operating from Sector-19. Dwarka presently has three police stations. Besides the police station at Sector 23, a second Police Station was inaugurated at sector 16-B and another one at Sector-9. 
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998. It is located in Sector 16C. Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay is the Vice Chancellor. It is an affiliating and teaching University that aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education in the disciplines of engineering, technology, architecture, management, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, education, law, journalism and mass communication, etc.


National Board Of Examination Office- The building located at Sector-9 oversees the entire gamut of examinations from undergraduate, post graduate and post doctoral examinations in our country. 
The Medical Council of India – The Medical Council of India (MCI) is a statutory body with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining high standards of medical education and recognition of medical qualifications in India. It registers doctors to practice in India, in order to protect and promote the health and safety of the public by ensuring proper standards in the practice of medicine. 
National Institute of Malaria Research – There is also National Institute of Malaria Research office situated in Sector-8. The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in man power resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology.

National Law University – NLU, Dwarka established in 2008 with the initiative of High Court of Delhi is another Law University in the list of pioneer law Universities established in India. It is situated in Sector-14.The University initially offers a 5-year integrated B.A., LL.B (Hons.) Degree Programme.The vision of the University is to create a Global Legal Institution and to prepare Lawyers for a legal career that introduces them to wide range of opportunities in legal profession across the globe. The University has State of Art infrastructure with all facilities for best of learning and research. Presently, Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh is the Vice-Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao is the Registrar of NLU.

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology – NSIT is An Autonomous Institution of Govt.of NCT of Delhi and situated at Sector-3, Dwarka. The institute offers B.E. courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering,Computer Engineering,Instrumentation and Control Engineering,Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering ,Information Technology,Bio-Technology. Besides graduate course it offers PG Programmes in Division of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Division of Computer Engineering, Division of Instrumentation and Control Engineering,Division of Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineering and School of Applied Sciences.

The Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences- The Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences is fully supported by the Govt. of NCT, University of Delhi.Dr. Jai Prakash is the Principal of the college. The college is housed in a spacious new building sprawled over ten acres at Sector 2, Dwarka. The college offers B.Sc. degree full time courses in Biomedical Science, Computer science,Polymer Science, Electronics Food Technology, Instrumentation, Physics, Microbiology.

Dwarka Sports Complex- Dwarka Sports Complex is the ultimate destination for sports lover who are living in and around Dwarka. It is situated in Sector-11 and it has been functioning since 1st November,2001. The complex is providing different indoor and outdoor sports activities. Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Billiards, Snooker, Basketball, Volleyball, Multi Gym, Skating, Squash, Yoga, Karate, Swimming Pool, Children park, Water Fall, Golf Course(under construction), etc. are the major attractions of the complex. There are more than 6,000 members of the complex till date.

The Dada Dev Temple – The Dada Dev Temple is situated in Palam Extension, Sector 7, Dwarka is a popular place of worship for local people. Dada Dev is worshipped as the gram devta of 12 villages of Palam, Shahbad, Bagdola, Nasirpur, Bindapur, Dabri, Asalatpur, Untkala, Matiala, Baprola, Poothkala and Nangalrai. Since these villages surround the sub-city, the temple has come to occupy pride of place in the area. This is the oldest temple near Dwarka.

The temple complex is huge and is spread over eight acres. Devotees believe in seeking the blessings of Dada Dev before starting any new venture. 


According to the priest of the temple, Chander Bhan, married couples come here to seek Dada Dev’s blessings. On the history of the temple he says, “It was the time of Vikram Samvant 781 or 838 AD when the temple was established here. Saints Ramdev and Jaidev brought the pious stone from Tonk district of Rajasthan after a dream came to them. As per the direction of the dream they had to go in the north direction and at night the rock fell from bullock cart and the stone was established here.”

According to him the temple was beautified in 1902 by Uddha Das. In the vicinity there is a beautiful pond and well maintained garden and a mela ground. There is a dharmashala with four big halls and a dispensary. Medical camps are organized regularly. A school for disabled is also being run in the temple complex. Priests of the temple and the people of the surrounding areas say that the soil of the pond cures skin diseases.Sunday is considered a pious day for his worship and devotees bring gud for chadhava to the deity.
