The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has urged all journalists and media organizations in Nepal to remain alert and prioritize their safety while reporting during the ongoing crisis situation.

In a public statement, FNJ stressed that while informing the public is the prime duty of journalists, their security must not be compromised. The organization appealed to federal, provincial, and local authorities, along with security agencies, to ensure full protection for media professionals.

FNJ General Secretary Ram Prasad Dahal, in a release posted on Facebook, advised journalists, particularly those working in rural areas, to adopt necessary precautions while reporting from the field. The Federation also requested reporters to promptly inform the FNJ central office about any obstacles or incidents faced during news coverage.
