Leading schools of Dwarka – Sri Venkateshwar International, Maxfort, Queen’s Valley, Sachdeva Global and office bearers of many societies like, Air Force & Naval Society, Swami Vivekanand, Ispatika, Balaji, Delhi Apartments and members of social orgnisations – ANHLGT and Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi etc endorsed the idea of learning from the experts and joined in with their Gardeners. 35 participants enjoyed nearly an hour’s journey to Kujwa in the school bus sponsored by Sri Venkateshwar International School together with sumptuous Idlis. The picturesque landscape was entirely different from the skyscrapers of Dwarka and the sky looked having come down to the earth to welcome the participants in the lap of Mother Nature with cool winds and intermittent drizzle making it all the more pleasant.
Specific knowledge was also dispensed by the learned faculty of KVK for setting up of Green House to Sachdeva Global, availability of worms for composting to Queens Valley, drip irrigation to Sri VIS and growing mushroom to Maxfort schools.
This was followed by a visit to Sector 19 Nursery where some of the participants despite a drizzle got down to acquaint themselves with plants.
P K Datta also gave information to the participants for some of their queries and proposed a vote of thanks to the faculty of Krishi Vikas Kendra who promised to continue their support to the community and praised the efforts of Dr. P K Datta for mobilizing support for their programme. The participants expressed their desire for conducting such programmes in future also.

The training included theoretical teaching about different aspects of gardening – soil composition, watering of plants, drip irrigation, disease management, mushroom plantation, vermi composting etc. The session was highly interactive since there was a spontaneous number of queries from Dwarka Green Heads.
