GUJJAR AND BAKKARWAL YOUTHS OF J&K VISITED DELHI ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION TOUR

25 Gujjar and Bakkarwal youths from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir state arrived in Delhi today on National Integration Tour organised by Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavna. The theme of the tour has been coined as ‘Sair-E-Watan’ and is being organised by Rashtriya Rifles under aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo).

The Gujjar and Bakkarwal youths who hail from poor families and are from far flung border areas arrived from Mendhar (J&K). The tour aims to promote religious harmony and showcase rich cultural heritages & economic development made by the country. 
At Delhi, the youths visited the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Red Fort, New Delhi Metro (Airport Express) and Terminal-3. They also met with Hon’ble Rashtrapati Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan. 
While interacting with media the student said that visting Delhi and interacting with Hon’ble President was an life time opportunity for them. They express their special thanks and gratitude towards Army for organising such an event. Army also feel that the tour will instil a sense of awareness, national integration amongst the youths of these areas and will go a long way in creating a everlasting bond between people of J&K and other states of our country.
