GURU NANAK DEV JI’s PRAKASH PURAB CELEBRATED IN DWARKA

In Dwarka Sub City, the PRAKASH PURAB was celebrated on Tuesday, the 8th November, 2022 throughout the day (in morning and evening Diwans at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi with great fervor and enthusiasm.

According to Sardar Pritpal Singh, President, Gurudwara Committee, the prominent Raagi Jatha (पंथ प्रसिद्ध रागी जत्थे) : Bhai Davinder Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib ji, Amritsar, Bhai Balbir Singh ji (Chandigarh), Bhai Tajinder Singh ji (Amritsar) with Bhai Jatinder Singh ji, Young Khalsa Kirtan Jatha, Istri Satsang and Children of Dwarka Sub City performed the Gurbani Kirtan (गुरबाणी कीर्तन), followed by Katha (कथा/व्याख्यान) on the life and teachings of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji by Giani Gianinder Singh ji, Head Granthi, Gurdwara Sahib, Dwarka, New Delhi. On this occassion, large number of residents of Dwarka and nearby areas visited the Holy Gurdwara Sahib to pay their homage (श्रद्धा) to Guru Sahib. The Gurdwara Committee organised free Community Kitchen (लंगर) for the devotees throughout the day.

Sardar Davinder Paul Singh, Secretary, Gurdwara Committee informed that PARBHAT PHERI KIRTAN (प्रभात फेरी कीर्तन) were also organised for 25 days from 15-10-2022 onwards every day morning 5:00 AM to 7:30 AM in different parts of Dwarka Sub City, in which, hundreds of Dwarka residents participated.

In this regard, a religious procession ( विशाल नगर कीर्तन) will be organised on Sunday the 13th November, 2022 from Brahma Apartments, Sector -7, Dwarka at 10:00 AM to Gurudwara Sahib, Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi enroute : DAV School,. Sector -6, Markets of Sectors 6 & 10, Markets of Sectors 5 &11 to Ashirwad Chowk (Sectors 4,5,11,12) towards KM Chowk and then towards MK Residency, Sector -11, Dwarka, said Sardar Davinder Paul Singh, Secretary, Gurdwara Committee.

Guru ji brought a social and religious revolution by providing a platform of SANGAT and PANGAT, where people pray together and eat together irrespective of caste, colour, creed or faith, said Sardar Pritpal Singh, President, Gurdwara Committee.

The three main teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are Vand Chhako – Sharing whatever God has given you with others and helping those who are in need; Kirat Karo: Means, make a living honestly; Naam Japo: Chant the name of ‘True God’, said Davinder Paul Singh, Secretary, Gurdwara Committee.Sahib
