Traditions are on the topmost hierarchy of our life and it lived right from the time of existence of Homosapiens. Festivals are part of traditions, values and culture and HOLI is one such festivities that has mythological, Cultural, social and biological significance.
Upholding the spirit of celebrations, Dwarka Progressive Club organized “HOLI MILAN” on Saturday, the 19th March 2016 in Sector 13 DDA Park, Dwarka, New Delhi, which was attended by people from all walks of life. The occasion was graced by the presence of Sh. Rajesh Gahlot, Ex-MLA; Mrs. Shashi Tomar, Municipal Councilor from Kakrola; Mr. Krishan Jangid, BJP Mandal President; besides other prominent personalities who took time to be part of celebrations.
The program was inaugurated with GANAPATI VANDANA and performing pooja. There was so much fun and fauna as people were totally engrossed in the celebrations while enjoying dance and cultural program by Sahitya Kala Academy; Fancy Dress Competition for Kids; Dandiya Dance Performance; and DJ Music with freelance performances. No celebration is complete without good food as everyone was treated with sumptuous refreshments and drinks.
The event could not be a success without the concerted efforts, support and hard-work of the management team comprising of Mrs. Urmila Sharma; Mrs. Shanu Wadhwa; Mrs. Radhika Sharma; Mrs. Shubha Duggal; Mrs. Pratima Jain and other committee members.
This maiden attempt of Holi Celebrations and its success has been an encouragement to commit to organize more such events with flora and fauna in future. DPC commits to work towards revitalizing relationships and to carry forward the task of bonding the society together and strengthen the secular fabric of our country.
