The School celebrated the 71st Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm befitting the occasion. The spirit of freedom was vibrantly alive as every person and every corner of the school was adorned in the tri colours of the nation. The program commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Brig. Harinder Walia, Lt.Col Amarjeet Kaur Gulati, Col. Ravi Tokas, Chairperson Ms Madhu Gupta, Manager Mr Puneet Gupta and School Principal Ms Archana Narain. This was followed by National Anthem and releasing of Tri colour balloons.The prestigious March Past comprising of four House contingents namely Manas, Prayas, Sanskar and Siddhant filled everyone with pride and honour. The school Principal Ms Archana Narain in her speech exhorted upon the students to follow the path of righteousness and work diligently to bring laurels to the country. Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Brig Harinder Walia spoke on the importance of education and the role played by the educational institutions. He reiterated that the school, teachers and parents play a vital role in nation building. The cultural performances set the pitch and the variety of presentations e.g. Patriotic Songs, Unity in Diversity-Walk Past, Demonstration by International Skippers, Martial Arts Display, Drills, Yoga Demonstration and scintillating Dance performances received much deserved applaud from the audience present. Another major highlight of the day, ‘Kite Flying Activity’ organized for parents and students also added to the festive spirit to the day. It was a proud moment to watch the students showcasing their talent like a dream and spread the essence of tricolour wrapped in emotions and pride for our motherland. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to remember our freedom fighters and experience the freedom, peace, unity & diversity of our great nation.
