A two-day International Conference on Digitalization,Entrepreneurship and Skilling was organized successfully at School of Management Studies, Ansal University Gurgaon on 16-17 March, 2017. The Chief Guest of the Conference was Dr. M. P. Poonia, Vice-Chairman, AICTE who motivated the audience to leverage their team skills to achieve success in contemporary times. Guest of Honour, Mr. Rajiv Chawla, Chairman- IamSMEofIndia; President – Faridabad Small Industries Association spoke about the existing skill gaps, the entrepreneurial mindset and technological disruption. In his Presidential Address, Prof. Kamlesh Misra, Vice-Chancellor, Ansal University spoke on the need to gear up for the opportunities that the present government has opened up for the youth today and become job creators instead of job seekers.

The book titled, “Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Skilling: The Future Lies Here”, edited by Dr. A K. Malhotra, Dean-SMS, Ansal University and Dr. Sona Vikas, Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Mr. Navdeep Barwal was launched by the guests. Published by Bloomsbury Publications, it contains the research papers received from all over the country.

There were two panel discussions on the conference theme, deliberated by young, dynamic entrepreneurs, corporate honchos and thought leaders from academia. The major thrust was on ideas, innovation and implementation as key areas of concern for budding entrepreneurs. Technical sessions having paper presentations by the researchers were organized on both the days.

Ansal University, has a legacy of over two decades in higher education, and provides advanced quality of education with a futuristic approach and a strong focus on trans-disciplinary learning. The campus is known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure, facilities, ambience, learning environment and an organizational culture that nurtures thinking and critical understanding needed in pursuit of competence.

This is the fifth international conference being organized consecutively by the School of Management Studies. Research and training has been the focus of the School, and it strives to promote the same by conducting regular conferences, Management Development Programs and Faculty Development Programs.
