The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi has hosted another International Exchange Programme with the students and teachers of Reliance International Academy, Kathmandu, Nepal. Students and teachers stayed in school campus from August 24, 2014 to August 30, 2014.
The delegates were welcomed in a traditional manner and a cultural fiesta was organized. The Nepal Delegates along with Ms. Madhu Gupta, Chairperson & Ms. Archana Narain, Principal inaugurated the newly constructed Activity Zone in the school building.
The highlights of the Exchange Program were: interactive sessions with the Principal , Coordinators & teachers, a special Art & Craft activity, visit to the neighboring schools, a visit to ‘Nomadic Center’ for Movie Making & Media Literacy Programme’, Tree Plantation, and Delhi Darshan. The Nepal students attended our school’s assembly as well as presented one day the assembly of their school. They also visited Agra to see Taj Mahal.
Friendly matches of ‘Kho- Kho’ and ‘tug of war’ and classroom sessions reinforced the main motto of the Exchange Program i.e to share each other’s best practices. The Exchange Programme provided not only an insight into the Educational Process and Practices of the partner Schools but also the rich Social and Cultural practices of the two countries. It was indeed an enriching experience for all.
