IOD, India’s CSR Convention, 20-21 January


CSR has come a long way in India and has gained unprecedented importance. The market focus of leading organisations is now shifting towards a more Responsible form of Growth, taking a long term view of sustainability and social responsibility.

The Government of India has also made special provisions to utilize CSR funds for skills development, social entrepreneurship, social business development, spread of digitization; and the programmes relating to ‘Swacch Bharat’ and ‘Cleaning of Rivers’.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is enmeshed in the mission statements of most organisations these days, but how often does that truly shape a company’s culture or equate to wider and genuine social engagement?
