A memorable cultural evening by ‘Sargolsavam’ winners was organised by Jansanskriti Dwarka branch in commemoration with its second annual day celebrations. This function was dedicated to the memory of the first chief minister of Kerala E M S Namboothirippad. He is considered as the chief architect of modern Kerala. Former secretary of Kendra Sahitya Academy and a well known poet, critic and orator Professor K Satchidanandan addressed the gathering. Chairman of Jansanskriti Dwarka, T Harridas presided over the function. MV Santhosh, Secretary welcomed the gathering. Vilasini Muralidharan , Chairperson of Jansanskriti central committee and P I Ravindranathan former President of Jansanskriti central committee also spoke on the occasion.
This was followed by one act play “Clarakunjamma Orkkummu” by Ms Rajita Madhu a well known theater artist from Kerala. She is the recipient of the best theater artist award given by Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Academy. Then children from Dwarka presented a memorable cultural evening to the audience.
Jansanskriti, a socio-cultural organisation of Keraliates residing in the National Capital Region, has been conducting ‘Sargotsavam’ on the pattern of Kerala School Youth Festival. It is a cultural festival of competitions in various arts forms, from classical music to light music and film songs, from classical dance to folk dance, poem recitation, elocution, story, essay, poetry writing, quiz, etc. Kerala School Youth Festival is considered as the biggest cultural event in the World as a whole and ‘Sargolsavam’ conducted by Jansanskriti in the same pattern is the biggest cultural event of Delhi.
