Medical Talk Show on TOBACCO RISKS/TOBACCO CESSATION was organised by Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, New Delhi in association with Age Well Association in the Hospital premises on 1st June, 2019 wherein number of members participated. All the doctors connected with Cancer Deptt. of the Hospital gave their Power Point Presentation.
There was a Question- Answer Session wherein number of questions were raised. One of the participant even suggested that govt. should ban Tobacco Cultivation looking at the volume of Cancer Disease. Other suggested that there must be a Political Will to eradicate this deadly disease. It was informed to the house that there are 3500 deaths per day and 90% Oral & Lung Cancer is because of Smoking & Chewing of Tobacco. The talk was concluded by Dr.Bidhu Mohanty.
