FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Women trade wing of business body FICCI today organising an interactive session with US based Carrie Morgridge, Vice president, Morgridge Family Foundation and the author of Amazon best seller ’Every Gift Matters: How your passion can change the world’ at Federation House in New Delhi .

Philanthropist Carrie Morgridge and her Husband John Morgridge head the Morgridge Family Foundation, a Denver-based philanthropy that supports causes like the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Mile High United Way. With her experience of managing the resources of a charitable institution Carrie wrote about her experiences in the 2015 book “Every Gift Matters: How Your Passion Can Change the World.”. The proceeds of her popular book go to various groups working in education, health, the arts and the environment.

“Leadership is the most important quality when our Foundation looks for when deciding who and where to donate. Within leadership, she said, is a built-in component of trust.Effective philanthropy means for some a gift for investment in leadership, which means an investment in education,” Carrie Morgridge said while speaking at FLO interactive session.

“women should have a voice.Women are smart. We are intelligent. If you want to get involved, sit on a board. Have your voice heard,” Morgridge said. “Not that I’m making a political statement, but they should have a seat at the table with men.”Ms Morgridge said.

“The Morgridge Family Foundation makes about $10 million in grants a year, with money invested to improve health and wellness, foster-care system and education .
