Prayaas- A rainbow of expressions, an endeavour to experience the magical colours of the rainbow through the medium of dance, drama ,music, art and craft was held in VIS on 6th May 2017. Mr.Timothy Kendall, Counsellor (Economics) from the Australian High Commission was the Guest of Honour. The students made various craft items from waste material in keeping with the dictum of reduce, reuse and recycle which won the heart of every visitor.
Moreover the students performed various dance forms like Samba, Shiv Tandav, Hip Hop, Marathi Folk Dance, Jazz, Meera bhakti, Flamenco and Peace dance, each associated with one or the other colour of the VIBGYOR. A Sarv Dharma Prarthna Nukkad Natak and instrumental number enthralled the audience. Besides, there was a reading corner to promote reading through books. The old readable books were covered attractively and discarded books were transformed into Book Lamp, Book Plant, Hangings and Book Marks. A game zone, food corner and the selfie corner also was highly applauded. In his speech, the Chief Guest expressed his happiness and appreciated the talented minds behind this endeavour. The event was a grand success!
