MCD , Assesment & Collection Department (Najafgarh Zone) organised a Property Tax Collection Camp at New Jai Bharat Society, Plot No.5, Sector-4, Dwarka, New Delhi on June 1 st, 2024 to educate residents on property tax-related matters. The camp featured sessions on the followings:
1.Deposit of property tax.
2.Geo-tagging. 3.Sahbhagita Scheme, of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
MCD team led by Shri Ajay Kumar, Joint Assossor and Collector(Najafgarh Zone), Shri Niranjan Kumar, Assistant Assessor & Collector, Shri Deepak Lakra, SI and Sh.A.S.Chattwal, Sahbhagita Ambassador were welcomed by presenting a bouquet by S/Sh.Yash Pal
Singh, President, C.K Sharma, A.K.Puri and I.M.Khanna.
Approximately 50 residents from various societies in the area attended the camp. The officials provided detailed information on the processes and benefits related to property tax payments and Geo-Tagging. Sahbhagita Scheme was explained by Sh.A.S.Chattwal, which encourages citizen participation in local governance. They also discussed the importance and methodology of geo-tagging of properties for accurate tax assessments.
A Question-Answer session followed the presentations, allowing residents to voice their concerns and queries. The MCD representatives addressed each question comprehensively, ensuring the satisfaction of the property owners. The camp was a significant step towards enhancing transparency and understanding of property tax processes among the property owners.
Number of property owners who were feeling difficulty in Geo-tagging themselves were helped by the visiting officials from Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Dwarka, New Delhi.
A good number of property owners got corrected their Tax Liability and deposited property tax and availed rebates related to their house property. Sh.A.K.Puri proposed vote of thanks to the visiting team for their committed service to the Dwarkites.
