Leading the first panel discussion on ‘The Art of Storytelling – ‘Making Communication Engaging’, Ms. Lavang Khare, Senior Vice PresidentAdfactors PR said, “The landscape of communication has changed phenomenally in recent years and it is impossible for brands to sustain without integrating storytelling in brand communication. A good understanding of your audience is the bedrock of a great storytelling.”

“Brands need to integrate experiential storytelling where you let the audience live the story. There is an immense scope for innovation, surprising the audience through effective use of technology and out of the box ideas,” said Puneet Kaaul, Director, Brand Connect.

Talking about the present scenario of media in the second panel discussion on ‘Storytelling – A new form of Journalism‘, Naved Qureshi, Anchor & Sr. Producer, News Nation said, “Journalism is going through a rather disruptive period. Gone are the days when media professionals decided what’s best for the audience to know. Today, you need to understand your audience in order to engage with them. And that is where you get the best stories from – by being on field, interacting with your viewers, observing their lives and knowing everything about their experiences and then, building an exciting narrative around it.”

Antil Yadav, Creative Supervisor, ScoopWhoop Media said, “The nupitals between journalism and digital media has brought to fore the relevance of visual storytelling and interactive journalism. Journalists have realized that beautiful stories exist beyond the realms of print and that is where the real breakpoint lies. Integrating design and multimedia to build a narrative around relevant issues makes the content  appealing and drives conversation”.
