Chairman – Jansanskriti Dwarka
Jansanskriti Dwarka branch organised “Rachanolsavam” i.e., competitions in literary items on 16th October 2011 Sunday at Shiksha Bharathi Public School, Sector – 7, Dwarka, New Delhi in commemoration with Sargolsavam 2011.
Several hundred children participated in various items like Cartoon, Pencil Drawing, Painting, quiz and Poem, Story and essay writing competitions held from 9.30 AM to 7 PM. Chairman Mr P K Ravindranathan presided over the inaugural function. Ex-Central Committee President Mr Gopalakrishnan inaugurated Rachanolsavam. He talked about the positive contributions made by Jansanskriti, during the last three decades, as a progressive socio-cultural organisation. Culturally and literally enlightened people will always be an asset to the society. They can never behave with criminal or anti-social intentions. Hence, he stressed, the children to develop a keen interest in progressive art and literature and advised the gathered parents to guide their wards in this direction. Secretary Mr E.P.Vijayan welcomed the gathering. Mr P K Mohandas, central committee president, also interacted with the children and parents latter in the evening. Program convener Mr P S Sunil was also present.
Competitions in performing arts like Poem Recitation, Classical Music, Light Music, Film Song, Group Song, Folk Song, Fancy Dress, Mono Act, Violin, Tabala, Bharata Nattyam, Mohiniyattam, Folk Dance, Group Dance, Oppana, Tableau and Extempore Speech will be conducted on 23rd October Sunday from 9 AM onwards at the same venue. Participants can register on the spot on 23rd October morning or alternatively may email details to dwarka@jansanskriti.org
First and second prize winners of branch level competitions will be selected to participate in the Sargolsavam conducted at National Capital Region Level. This mega event, considered as one of the largest youth festival in the world, is spread on 4 days i.e., 30th October at Kerala School R K Puram, 6th November at Kerala School Canning Road and 12th and 13th November at Kerala School, Vikaspuri.
