Dwarka Beats, a musical organization which appreciates and promotes social integration through music and provides a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talent , presented a musical evening “ Rag Rang” on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in SDMC Community Centre, Sector 23, Dwarka.

The program was organized after a span of 2 years due to COVID Pandemic with the aim of celebrating life or in other words “Victory of life”. The program was started with a soul stirring song of Late Lata ji “Aye dile nadan justaju kya hai” from Razia Sultan to pay tribute to the Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ji. This song set the mood for the rest of the evening. Through this program Dwarka Beats has also initiated to showcase the other forms of Indian classical music by way of including two ghazals. One was “Humen tumse pyar kitna” by Parveen Sultana ji and the other one was Dil mein ek lahar si uthi hai abhi” by Gulam Ali Khan sahab. Another attraction was that these ghazals were sung live on Harmonium, tabla and Violin. The melodies from the Golden Era of Hindi Cinema took the center stage when singers traced the journey of songs by crooning mainly hit numbers of Lata ji, like “Aye mere dile nadan tu ghum se na ghabrana, Tum na jaane ke s jahan mein kho gaya, Ye sama sama hai ye pyar, Rangeela re tere rang mai, kisliye maine pyar kiya. Other songs included, Bechara dil kya Kare, Ashkon ne jo paya hai wo geeto me diya hai, Wo sham kuchh Ajeeb, Madhuban khushboo deta hai, Awaaz de Kahan hai, Moh moh ke dhaage, Aankhon hi aankhon mein ishara ho gaya, Jaane na nazar, Aye dil mujhe bata de
The singers who captivated the audience with their rendering of musical pieces were- Promila Malik, Joginder Malik, R. K. Jain, Ritu Dogra, SK Azad, Sujaya Biswas. Gaganjit Kaur, Neeru Gupta, Gen Mukesh Gupta, Asha Varshney, Seema Wadhavan.
The host of the event was Mrs. Shashi Jain. The evening of entertainment won great acclaim and applause of the large gathering of music lovers of the city.
