“On the occasion of National Reading Day- Reading Month 2018 (19th June 2018 to 18th July 2018), Western Regional Office of National Book Trust organised book exhibitions at Kendriya Vidyalay in Lonavla, Mumbai, Nashik, Gandhidham and Bhuj.
Students and the school authorities displayed great enthusiasm in the exhibition and number of students participated in the fair and bought books of their choice. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated 22nd National Reading Day-Reading Month Celebration at Kochi on17th June 2017.
The Prime Minister in his popular programme had also exhorted the practice of presenting books instead of bouquet as welcome gift for functions and ceremonies. National Book Trust, India promotes reading habit among people and publishes books in 30 Indian languages and dialects for all age groups. “
