“IT’S TIME TO CHILL” turning this quote into a reality, Bharati Vidyapeeth University Institute of Managemnet and Research (BVIMR), New Delhi organized its much awaited Language, Technical, Cultural and Management Fest “Rena-Tech-Schoneamour ‘12”. It was successfully organized with all pomp and splendour from 22nd February 2012 to 25th February 2012 which aims to fill in youthful vigour, freshness and zest to excel in students. It was a combination of the Annual Foreign Language Mela – “SchoneAmour”, the Technical Fest – “Techspan”and the Management & Cultural fest- “Renaissance”. The week is filled with a plethora of events that motivates the students to put their best foot forward.
The first day was dedicated to the Technical Fest “Techspan 2K12” in which students enthusiastically participated in the events like Bug – Buster, Techno –Manics, Techigniter, Director’s Cut, Modern Warfare, Techno Paper and Web Architect. The event was graced with the presence of Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Associate Vice President & Head Human Resource, Kajaria Group as the Chief Guest for the event. Also present were dignitaries like Mr. Gurpreet Singh Arora, Vice President –Product Implementation, Mercer and Dr. Sushant Kumar Mishra, Director Incharge, IGNOU as the Guest of Honor for the inaugural function.
Dr. Sachin S. Vernekar, Director, BVIMR welcomed the guests and emphasized the fact that Indian tradition is based on the slogan “Simple living, high thinking” and called upon students to stop going after westernized culture but to adopt Indian family values in their day to day life, and to always remain within the roots of the glorious Indian Culture. He encouraged the students to actively participate in all the events and congratulated the organising team for organising the innovative electrifying week. He concluded with a nice quote “Fest has to be Best, It has to be great Personality Test.” He made the atmosphere lighter as the occasion needed vigour and zest to excel.
Schoneamour – the Foreign Language Mela provided students, the opportunity to showcase their talents through French and German Plays, Tattoo Making, Rangoli Making, Collage Making, Bier-garten, treasure hunt, language quiz, talent hunt and minute-to-minute games for students as well as teachers.
Renaissance means rebirth -revival of interest by an increasing pursuit of learning. It provides the platform for young managers today to display their managerial proficiency through innovative events like Dalal Street – The Virtual Stock Market, Marketing Bingo – Audio/Visual Rounds of products images, logos, Management Game and Play a Case Maze – Case Study Solution and let the students explore their hidden talents through Rena Star Voice, Antakshari Musical Challenge, Folk Dancing, Rena Star Dancers and Flameless Cooking.
This time BVIMR in collaboration with Campus Foundation had organized CAMPUS FASHION WEEK which included performances by Fashion Teams of Delhi University Colleges and Band Performance by “ASTITVA BAND” and lots of Band Performances by BVIMR Gems.
Mr. Rajeev Gupta gave a deep insight about current scenario of the Indian Economy. He rightly said that in order to survive in this competitive scenario, one needs to have a creative mindset and the final target should not only be restricted to Indian companies. He concluded his crispy and short speech by sharing his mantra of living- “Life is fair at the end. Trust it.” Mr. Gurpreet Singh Arora enlightened the audience with his rich experience and highlighted that various cultural and technical activities provide a platform for holistic personality development of the students which is the need of the hour. He also appreciated the remarkable spirit of BVIMRites to organize and participate in such series of events. Mr. Sushant Kumar Mishra emphasized that participating in such events helps the students to polish their innovative skills and nurture their hidden talent. He rightly said that beautiful things are the elixir of life and events such as ShoneAmour- which means Beautiful Love celebrating a spirit of togetherness in the students.
The event saw the active participation of over 50 colleges with about 154 teams and a footfall of 3000 students. It did not came as much of a surprise as the four day fest converted itself into a complete razzmatazz and the campus premises roars with a variety of emotions – love, joys of winning and laughter depicting the huge success of the events.
BVIMR through its exemplary events like SchoneAmour, Renaissance, National Conferences, Guruvandana, Paristhiti-National Case Study Presentation Competition and NRPPC tries to imbibe the virtues of competence, excellence, confidence and ethics in students.
