The second day of the 3rd Hum Kishore Festival had ’We Create(Making the best of waste) ‘We Write(Essay Writing) and ‘We Design(Rangoli)’ set out for competition.

The cheerful and enthusiastic participants from various schools like DAV Public School (Sec 6, Dwarka), Carmel Convent (Chanakyapuri), Shiv Vani Public School (Mahavir Enclave)Government Girls Senior Sec. School (Dwarka, Sector 22) are a few among the 35 schools which participated. These activities were adjudged by several senior personalities who had the expertise in the respective creative fields. The students were very creative and made many beautiful things out of ordinary material like broom sticks, used water bottles, sawdust etc. The rangoli competition kept alive the cultural heritage and the imagination of the students in the vibrant color combinations in the amazing designs.

The ‘Essay’ topic given was ‘Grandparents as mentors and the guides for adolescents’. This topic was a deliberate choice to probe the mindsets of the adolescent students about the ever widening generation gap. The UVNAC building wore a festive look and the air reverberated with ‘Instrumental music’ being played in the background.

UVNAC now gears up for the 3rd day of the 3rd Hum Kishore Festival. We wish all the participating schools, the very best.
