Shiksha Bharati Public School, Sector 7, Dwarka celebrated 68th Republic Day with great pomp and show on 25th January 2017 in the school premises.
The National Flag was hoisted by the chief guest Shri Akhilesh Roy – Flying Officer (retired) Indian Air Force with honourable Manager Madam, guest of honour Dr BK Singh – chief neurosurgeon, Apollo Hospital, New Delhi and Vice Principal Madam. Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem. The guests were welcomed with bouquet, memento and shawl.
Scouts and Guides and band demonstration was given by the students of primary and senior wings. Vice Principal madam gave a welcome address. Senior students presented a group patriotic song and a speech on the Republic Day was delivered by a senior student. Tiny Tots presented a dance reflecting the zeal of three forces. This performance enthralled the audience. The hostel students performed at dance ‘Taare Zameen Par’ very nicely.
Finally, a short play was enacted by the students of senior Wing. This play showed the sacrifices of our freedom fighters to release our country from the cruel clutches of Britishers. The play was ended with the introduction of our constitution. The play deserved a huge round of applause.
On this occasion the chief guest gave away prizes to the winners of co-curricular activities. He praised the programme in his speech.
Honourable Manager Madam conveyed her wishes to the staff and students. Tri – colour balloons were flown in the air symbolising freedom. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks proposed by a senior wing student.
