On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhiji’s birthday, ANHLGT organized “Shramdhan” on 1st October at 8am and had a cleaning campaign in Vardhaman mall sec-23 and 30mt road from Paramount school to District Park. Members of ANHLGT and residents of the area actively participated in this cleaning campaign. Shri Rajesh Gahlot, Municipal Councillor, Board member of DDA launched the program. The Presidents and the residents of the area discussed with Mr. Rajesh Gahlot how to continue the cleaning program everyday. Mr. Garg, Junior Engineer, Civil and department, Mr. Meena, SI of MCD were present. They have assured that they will keep the area clean and won’t give any chance for further complaints. Mr. Gahlot told that he will again visit this area. Mrs. Asha Varshney, Executive member told the secretary of Vardaman Mall that, if it is not cleaned properly especially the food shops, ANHLGT will stand in front of the shop and do Dharna and get it closed.
After giving refreshments and snacks to the workers, shramdhan winded up at 10.30am.
