Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18 Dwarka, felicitated and honoured its achievers on their Annual Prize Day

The Guest of Honour for the day was Ms. Romi Johri Assistant Director, Directorate of Education. The august gathering included the School Chairman Mr. Sailander Solanki, the Head Learner Ms. Nita Arora, Headmistresses of the three wings and the proud parents.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the guests followed by a riveting and pulsating piece of Orchestra ‘Rhythm Of Joy’ put up by the school band. A mesmerising dance-drama to invoke the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara lilted and captivated the audience. In her welcome address the school principal Ms. Nita Arora. shared her vision for an empowered future for the children as she described the event as a perfect ode to parenting, teaching and to the almighty.

The tone for the event was perfectly set as the students of classes VI-XII were felicitated for their academic and co-curricular achievements through the year. The Best House Trophy for Co-curricular activities was bagged by Sincerity house while Strength house won the trophy in the sports category.

The audience was left spellbound as they accorded a standing ovation to the stellar and poignant enactment of the folk tale of Chamba, HP by the young performers who had won at the state level in Kala Utsav 2017. The Guest of Honour highly appreciated the school and the efforts of the students, wishing them more laurels in their future endeavours. The school Head Boy Manav Bagga extended the vote of thanks.

The school also appreciated the arduous efforts of its teachers and Headmistresses who had mentored the students and enabled them to script their success stories. The School Principal was honoured with a citation for securing the National Level First Prize among 500 school principals in English Extempore Speech Competition held at Hyderabad at Brainfeed’s Acharya Devo Bhav Award ceremony. Her efforts in the growth of the institution were also recognised.

The School Chairman received a standing ovation when presented with a memento for his dynamic vision. The show culminated with the National Anthem as the beaming young achievers and their proud parents left the precincts of the institution with a promise to make excellence a habit, armed with confidence; marching ahead with elan`.
