DWARKA STUDENTS SHOWCASED THEIR TALENT IN DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING

On 9th Nov 2013, six teams of school students from Dwarka showcased the documentary films made by themat Panasonic Experience Centre, Gurgaonafter seven days workshop conducted by Mr.AshwaniTyagi renowned documentary film maker.

The films were made on diverse topics like old age homes, street children, education etc. and had a social message in them.The students astounded the audience with their documentary films and gave tough job to judges to do their job.The overall initiative was taken by the BalBhawan International School, Dwarka which first organised a photo-story competition for schools from Dwarka and the three teams each in junior and senior sections were provided week long free intensive training in various aspects of documentaryfilm making. The training was imparted by noted filmmaker AshwaniTyagi of incredible India fame in camera, editing, direction etc. Script writing was taught by Dwarka based Mr S. S. Sharma of 2 Man Productions and acting skills were imparted by Raj Mishra, a well – known actor from Delhi.

Bal Bhavan International School collaborated with Panasonic Experience Centre to make this initiative materialize. The initiative will have other events in the future. Panasonic Experience Centre is a happening place where anyone can just walk in and get an exposure to the wide array of Panasonic products, watch films in its 3D auditorium and organise screenings at no costs.

The winners of the competition were Modern Convent School, Dwarka in Senior Category and Delhi International School Dwarka in the junior category that have been given an opportunity by Panasonic to make short commercial film for Panasonic’s Android Phone under the guidance of Panasonic’s officials in Panasonic Experience Centre, Gurgaon.
