The Korean Cultural Centre in collaboration with Assitej India, organised a captivating session of Korean Folktales in Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector-18, Dwarka on August 24 2017.
The story session, comprising three folk tales from the land of South Korea, was conducted by renowned Indian & Korean artistes. The voice intonation & enactment with props, left all the students of Grade 2-5 spellbound.
The folktales – ‘The Woodcutter and the heavenly Fairies’, ‘The Moon’ and ‘The faithful daughter’ depicted acts of virtue, honesty and good faith. They focused on the importance of being righteous & maintaining positive behaviour.
This venture goes a long way in establishing firmer school ties with Korean Education system and Folk Art.School is currently engaged in joint school partnerships with two South Korean Schools- Daejeon Boksu High School & Yuseong Girls High School as a part of its International School Award of the British Council.
