Sri V.I.School., Sector-18, Dwarka organizes ‘Visible We’

  – a journey to excellence where U n ME become WE….

Finally, it was the day when one could feel the excitement in the air, savour the success of excellence all around and if there was any such place on 31st july’10, it was certainly the premises of SVIS. The event ‘VISible we’ wherein ‘We’ – the SVIS family made ourselves visible. The annual event ‘VISible we’ was dedicated to the multiple intelligences of the children.

The grand event was presided by the National Awardee , Former Addl Dir. of Education, Shri Y. P. Purang, graced by School Chairman, Mr.Sailander Solanki, Principal Venkateshwar Global School, Rohini, Mrs. Kavita Soni, and Ms. Nita Arora, Principal SVIS.

The centre of attraction was the school orchestra, which played many foot-tapping numbers. The audience too celebrated the numbers in their own way.

The instrumental symphony created by the little maestros of SVIS left the audience spellbound wherein the students showed their multifarious traits of personality by playing the flute, congo, drums, keyboard and sitar as well. The Music and Dance Department took a lot of pride in sharing the platform and showing their versatility. The song ‘Chal Chal re chal’, is not only an award- winning number for its innovation in music & soulful singing but also provided the impetus for a dance ‘Jugalbandi’ between Mr. Kishore & Mr. Vijender (Michael). They showcased the emotions of the lyrics through ‘Kathak’ & ‘Contemporary’ dance styles respectively.

The Foyer with Art exhibits was a Mini Art Gallery where the art articles made by the children won the hearts of the visitors. The entire school from class I upward took part in the exhibition. A large number of models, quizzes, brochures, projects, games prepared by the students in the summer break under the guidance of their mentors were on display. The students not only showcased their knowledge and aptitude but also won the hearts of the parents by displaying their confidence while speaking about the projects they had worked on. Each class had a lot of dance, drama, music action, thrill, enthusiasm and above all the feeling of joy.

Along with this event, the school had also arranged an interactive session on ‘How to make your child eat well’ in collaboration with Orange Cross. Ms. Tina Khanna, a post graduate in Food and Nutrition conducted the session in order to ensure that the children are exposed to a balanced diet. We believe in the statement that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. SVIS also aims to develop a confident and creative team of players who work together to achieve the same goal. Under this a ‘Coerver Coaching Camp’ was also organized by us to focus on this domain of their intelligences. A Book Fair catering for those who have a passion for reading and love exploring a world beyond text-books was also an integral part of the event.

A friendly basketball match between the middle school team and G.D. Goenka Public School team took many parents down the memory lane.
