Carrying on with the JMIS tradition, the Pre-Primary section of JM INTERNATIONAL School, Dwarka, sector-6 celebrated its Children’s Theatre Festival and Graduation Ceremony “UMANG” on 22nd March, 2012.
The day proved to be extremely memorable for the little graduates of Montessori School as they walked across the stage in their vibrant and gorgeous graduation caps and robes to receive their graduation certificates from dignatries.
The program started off with floral welcome, lighting of lamp and welcome speech by school Principal Ms Anuradha Govind. ‘NAMAN’ a classical dance show, wherein girls of class I & II mesmerized the viewers by performing Bhratnayam, Odissi and Mohiniattam which was followed by a skit, ‘Hamare Dost’ presented by grade nursery students. The skit was thoroughly enjoyable and informative as students enacted and acknowledged the dignity of work and the value of being thankful to each other.
Colours, how much importance they have in our world was exhibited by kindergarten students in a skit ‘Duniya Rang Biragi’. Through this skit children learnt the importance of colours and the value of unity.
Rhymes, PPts, effective props, songs and participation of mother teachers in both the skits enhanced the charm of viewing. Good habits make us perfect. And what is good and bad for children was depicted in class I & II skit, “ Kya Accha Kya Bura.”Grand Finale , The Western Dance” left the audience awe-struck.
It was in the midst of these vibrant and foot tapping events that the nursery children were awarded their “Graduation Certificates ‘.Each certificate was unique, as it bore a different title for each child.
The poise and confidence exhibited by the students in their performances was a sight to behold. JMIS children have a multitude of opportunities to perform on stage in front of audiences throughout the year, and this gives them an edge by building their self-confidence and a foundation for future success. In the end, Principal gave the vote of thanks to all the staff member for their contribution. The ceremony was most certainly a highly appreciated and successful event.
