Whatever You Want People to do For You, Do Also To Them

According to the law of karma (law of nature) for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. The only difference is that the reaction may not be perceived today and may come tomorrow or even much later. Every debt has to be paid. All negative actions (in words, thoughts or in deeds) sooner or later will have to be accounted for.

Ignorance or negativity cannot be removed by force. The same is the case with the darkness in a room which cannot be removed with an effort, except by switching on the light. Similarly, the negativity can only be removed by cultivating positive thoughts or making positive efforts.

Practicing loving, giving and sharing are classical examples for attaining self realization and internal happiness. According to the laws of nature, loving, sharing and giving can only multiply as the more one gives, the more one will receive.

Even Shiva’s two eyes represent love and justice. Any justice without love is incomplete and so is love without justice. Adding a little bit of love to the justice makes all the difference.

If you want to be respected, you must learn to respect others. If you want to be loved you will have to start loving others. These are age old Indian Vedantic principles and are true in one’s day-to-day life.

If one does not respect one’s parents, then one cannot expect one’s children to respect one later in life. One must practice what one preaches. If you hate one individual, you cannot expect him to love you, and only hatred will come back. But if you spread the message of love there is no reason why the same will not be reciprocated to you.
