“Yogathan” an event initiated for children by “ART OF LIVING” to build a healthier India for today and tomorrow. While the benefits of yoga are well known to the world, its practice is what creates a difference in the minds and the bodies of people.

Surya Namaskar in particular is not just physical exercise but is a beautiful set of yoga postures that work not only on the body but also on the mind and at the spiritual level. 

Benefits of Surya Namaskar :

Keeping this in mind JMIS is organising “YOGATHAN” – Yoga Workshop – A challenge for Surya Namaskar counts for the students of V- XI on Friday i.e. December 5,2014 in the school premises.

Note: Students can learn some of the Asanas of SURYA NAMASKAR with the help of links given below & practice the same at home to prepare themselves for the Yogathan – Surya Namaskar counts.
