“Yogathan” an event initiated for children by “ART OF LIVING” to build a healthier India for today and tomorrow. While the benefits of yoga are well known to the world, its practice is what creates a difference in the minds and the bodies of people.
Surya Namaskar in particular is not just physical exercise but is a beautiful set of yoga postures that work not only on the body but also on the mind and at the spiritual level.
· It improves the blood circulation of all the important organs of the body.
· Improves the functioning of the heart and lungs.
· Strengthens the muscles of the arms and waist.
· Improves digestion.
· Improves concentration power.
Keeping this in mind JMIS is organising “YOGATHAN” – Yoga Workshop – A challenge for Surya Namaskar counts for the students of V- XI on Friday i.e. December 5,2014 in the school premises.
