Sub: Complaint Regarding issue of inflated Water Bills to the Residents of
DDA LIG Flats, Pocket 3-C, Sector-16-B, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078
I introduce myself as a member of Dwarka Forum (Regd) & Ex- President of RWA of LIG Flats, Pocket 3-C, Sector 16-B, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078.
Our society consists of 528 flats and on 1.3.2014 some residents of our society received the water bills from the Guard Room of the society for a period of 18 – 20 months and shocked to see that all the residents to whom the bills were issued are with a minimum charges of Rs. 269.00 per month without taking the meter readings whereas till date all bills were raised as per the meter reading and those who had not installed the meter, with the prevailing minimum charges. Now all the residents received water bills for Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 12,000/- for a period of 15- 24 months.
We have made a number of visits to the DDA office in Sector-5, Dwarka to get the bills rectified as per the meter readings but no officers are available and or ready to rectify the same. Mr. Hooda (JE) Room No. 14 (Mob. No.: 09812441840) and Mr. Jasbir Singh (AE) Room No.13 (Mob. No. 9971133448) are the responsible officers and we had requested both of them on phone to give time for us to get the bills rectified, but they are giving excuses one and another and not in a position to do so. Hence the entire residents decided not to pay any water bills till they get the bills as per the meter readings due to the negligence on the part of engineers/officers responsible which will affect the financial condition of DDA. In case the officers contacted us the RWA would have informed the residents and collected the meter readings from the residents and provided to them.
We therefore, request you to kindly look into the matter seriously and direct the officer concerned to issue fresh bills as per the meter readings OR the bills rectified to all residents who have already installed the water meters. A copy of the current bill with flat rate and the previous bill issued as per reading.
