Sonakshi Sinha’s latest action flick Akira’s trailer was recently released and it has received rave response not only from media but also from the cinegoers, especially the college going youth. Taking a leaf of inspiration from the trailer, the youth of N M College, Mumbai have taken a step further for the betterment of their fellow students. The college has decided to run a self defence workshop in their campus. This campaign for the N M College was kick-started by the Akira star Sonakshi Sinha with the college students and faculty. Sonakshi interacted with the students and had a chat on the need self defence training for the students. She exchanged few tips and basic training programmes which should be included in the campus workshops. Sonakshi too has trained hard at martial arts for the film and the training is visible in the trailer which displayed some mean moves.
A Professor of N M College said, “We were really happy to meet Sonakshi Sinha and interact with her on her new film Akira. The fact that she is portrayed as a strong woman who stands up for herself in her film has served as an inspiration for many of our students. We are very happy to announce that we have decided to start self defence workshops in our campus very soon, and we are excited that we were able to get Sonakshi Akira Sinha to kickstart this campaign.”
Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in an all out action avatar in AR Murugadoss’s directorial Akira. Presented by Fox Star Studios Akira will hit the theatres on September 2, 2016.
