Students and teachers from a number of schools in Dwarka were delighted to be part of the Delhi International Festival, when R.D. Rajpal School hosted the Taiwan Bamboo Orchestra, on Saturday, 17th October 2015. The members of the Orchestra group were welcomed in the Indian traditional way with tilak and garlands. After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, students of the host school presented a lively cultural programme in honor of the visiting guests. The Yoga and Rajasthani folk dance performances received much appreciation.
The Delhi International Arts Festival, recognized the world over, as the signature festival of India, organized the programme in association with the ministries of Culture and Tourism, Govt. of India. After the objectives of holding such cultural events were elaborated, the Taiwan Bamboo Orchestra group set the stage on fire with their perfectly coordinated melodies from instruments made of bamboo. The interactive session with students that followed proved to be interesting and educative during which, a lot of ideas on Indian and Taiwanese cultures were exchanged.
