Dwarka Beats in collaboration with Dwarka Engineers Association presented a musical evening ‘‘Swar Lahri” on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at IIT Engineers Apartment.
Melodies from Hindi Cinema took the center stage when singers traced the journey of songs by crooning foot tapping numbers – like “Ek main aur ek tu…, Palkon ke peechhe se kya tune kah dala…, Le to aaye ho hume sapno ke gaon mein…, Dil hoom hoom kare…, Likha hai teri aankhon mein…, Wo jab yaad aaye bahut yaad aaye,… Chhupa lo yun dil mein pyar mera…, Dunia mein aisa kahsn sabka naseeb hai…, Na jiya lage na…, Tum gagan ke chandrama ho…, and many more.
The singers who captivated the audience with their rendering of musical pieces were – Promila Malik, MVS Rao, Tanveer Ali, Ritu Dogra, R K Jain, and Sujaya Biswas. The hosts of the event was Mrs. Shashi Jain. The evening of entertainment sprinkled with the dance on Likha hai teri aankhon mein and Le to aaye ho hume saono ke gaon mein songs won great acclaim and applause of the large gathering of music lovers of the city.
