The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka celebrated the 66th Republic Day of India with great patriotic fervour and zeal. Keeping up with the patriotic fervor, a Special Assembly was organized to celebrate this historic day. The assembly started with rendition of morning prayers and then the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was read out in which the significance of the important document was highlighted. The students pledged to uphold the dignity of the constitution. This was followed by a tableau depiction of the Indian National Symbols namely the National Emblem, the National Flag along with historical landmarks of Delhi, like the Red Fort, the Parliament House and the Qutub Minar. The students from the Primary Wing beautifully enacted a mime on the values taught by Mahatma Gandhi especially his vision of “Swachh Bharat”. The choir group sang the song “Ekta ke Sur” and conveyed the message of unity and harmony. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
