I urge the Delhi government not to do politics of appeasement in times of crisis and make a provision to pay salaries to priests of religious places in Delhi as well – Adesh Gupta
New Delhi, 7 June. In an event organized in Vishwas Nagar assembly constituency, Delhi BJP President Shri Adesh Gupta provided financial assistance along with distributing ration kits to the priests and priests. MLA from Vishwas Nagar Shri OP Sharma along with state, district and mandal office bearers were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Shri Adesh Gupta said that since the beginning of the first phase of the lock-down, state, district, mandal office bearers and workers of the Delhi BJP have distributed food, ration and provided other assistance to more than one crore people of Delhi. Without any government support, BJP workers distributed ration kits to over 31 lakh poor and needy people of Delhi. BJP workers are constantly engaged in the service work of the people of Delhi.
Shri Gupta said that the Kejriwal government which does politics of religion, has fixed a salary for the Imams of the mosque of Delhi, but never took the problems of Pandit-priests seriously. Earlier too, many times there was an attempt to attract the attention of the Delhi government on this matter, but Kejriwal kept avoiding it and kept increasing the salaries of the Imams of the mosque from time to time. I urge the Delhi government not to do politics of appeasement in times of crisis and make a provision to pay salaries to priests of religious places in Delhi on the same lines as the Imams of mosques are paid monthly salary.
