Eminent Global Voices Unite to Champion Peace, Disarmament, and the Future of Humanity

A powerful and thought-provoking global webinar titled “World Peace, Nuclear Disarmament, and the Future of Humanity” was successfully held on June 1, 2025, at 6:30 PM IST via Google Meet. The event was organized by the World Constitution and Parliament Association (WCPA) in collaboration with the Graduate School of World Problems (USA), Peace Pentagon (VA, USA), the World Peace Commission ,RCEAM, RSS & TLF.

One of the key highlights of the evening was the digital launch of the book “Foot Steps on Friendly Roads”, authored by the legendary peace activist E.P. Menon. The book commemorates his historic non-violent peace march from New Delhi to Moscow and Washington, advocating for global nuclear disarmament and peace. The launch was formally conducted by Dr. Glen T. Martin, President of WCPA (USA).

The webinar was skilfully moderated by Prof. P.N. Murthy, Vice President of WCPA, and featured an impressive line-up of global peace thinkers. Distinguished speakers such as Dr. Wasef from Jordon, Ms. Phyllis Turk from USA, Prof. Asmita, Dr. Neelam, Ms. Shravani, Ms. Hemlata, Ms. Nirja, and Dr. Vijayan offered rich insights on the current global scenario and stressed the urgent need for unity, peace, and nuclear disarmament.

Representing India, noted author, educator, and peace advocate Prof. S.S. Dogra delivered a compelling address highlighting the importance of world brotherhood. He underscored the transformative role of positive and responsible media in promoting global peace and prosperity. Furthermore, Prof. Dogra proposed a collaborative initiative to Dr. Glen T. Martin and Prof. P.N. Murthy to organize a special peace-focused event in partnership with the Foreign Correspondents Club of South Asia, aiming to amplify the role of media in peacebuilding.

Prof. Dogra, known for his significant contributions to education and culture—including the establishment of libraries in India and Nepal and the authorship of several inspirational books—continues to be a tireless advocate for peace education and grassroots empowerment.

His participation reaffirmed India’s deep-rooted commitment to Gandhian values of non-violence and its active engagement in the global peace movement.

The event concluded with heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Prof. P.N. Murthy, appreciating the participation of all global thought leaders and reaffirming the WCPA’s commitment to creating a peaceful, just, and unified world.
