ANHLGT initating desilting of Nallis by DDA in dwarka. |
ANHLGT as part of its commitment to improving the quality of citizens living in Dwarka has got the project for desilting of all nallis in sector-23 started. As part of its drive to ensure a clean and healthy environment during the disease prone monsoon season ANGLGT has commited itself to desilt nallis of major sectors 6,10,5 & 12 and has written to the respective Executive engineers about the same.
As we all know the blockages in nallis cause water to stagnate and which in turn becomes a breeding ground for disease borne mosquitoes, we are impressing upon the DDA authorities to carry out such activities at least once a year especially before monsoon.
Apart from this we have written to the Chief engineer Mr S R Solanki to initiate the process for the major open nallahs around sector 23 that connect to the Nagafgarh drain to be desilted. This in turn should have a big impact in reducing the mosquito population and decrease the number of diseases caused by the insects. ANHLGT would also like to thank DDA’s wd-13 for getting this work started in time in sector-23 and will be following up on same for other sectors.
ANHLGT is also planning a meeting of its committee members on 9th of July to take stock of all the pending works to be completed by DDA and also will talk to MCD health department officials on the steps they are taking to control the mosquito population this monsoon season.
