Ankush Bains
Yes, this is for the first time that a Cricketer from Himachal Pradesh will represent the Indian Cricket Team. Because Ankush Bains has created a history for Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association when he got selected for U-19 Indian Cricket Team. Mr.Sharvan Kumar-his main cricket coach who has already produced Ishant Sharma as international bowler informed Dwarka Parichay that Ankush has great temperament and batting talent. He further added that on the basis of hard work & cricketing ability Ankush will definitely find a place in the Senior Indian Cricket team soon. It is Sharvan Kumar who guided Ankush’s father to play for Himachal Pradesh Recently, Ankush will play for Indian U-19 cricket team in Australia where a Tri-series (India, Australia & New Zealand) is beginning from 26th June,2013. Ankush Joined Rohtak Road Gymkhana club almost six years ago and rest is the history.

On a phonic conversation with our Managing Editor from Chennai (where a Training camp is organized for U-19 Indian Cricket Team), he promised that he would try & prove his best performance during the upcoming tri-series in Australia. He is a great fan of Virat Kohli. But Adam Gilchrist(former great Australian wicket keeper batsman) is his favourite cricketer & role model for him. He likes to play front foot and he plays almost all the shots but cover drive is his favourite shot. He is great admirer of Dharamshala & Bilaspur cricket grounds. He came into highlight when he represented the H.P. U-13 cricket team. He attracted media attention while he scored 175 runs for his school team & a brilliant knock of 150 runs for H.P. against Mumbai.

Mr.Sanjeev (His school days coach )also played a very important role in nurturing the cricketing talent in Ankush in his early cricketing career. Ankush performed extra ordinarily for his Mount Abu School, Rohini during his school career. Ankush does 4-5 hours daily practice in the morning & also in the evening. His father Mr.Katkar Singh Bains is also excited about his son’s achievements. Mr.Katkar Singh also appreciated Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association for the encouragement and support Ankush is getting right from his cricketing career for representing H.P. team.

Apart from his cricketing world, he likes to watch Hindi movies. Recently, he watched Fukre. Although, Bollywood star Salman Khan is his favourite hero and Tanushka Sharma is his favourite heroine. He is also computer savvy.
