Venkateshwar International School, Sector -10, Dwarka celebrated its 13th Annual Day on October 27, 2013 with great fanfare. Hon’ble Chief Guest, Guru Shovana Narayan, Padma Shri Awardee and renowned Kathak Dance Maestro of India graced the occasion and gave away the prizes to all the meritorious and promising students applauding students’ exemplary performances in academics and co-curricular activities with a special mention of the commendable comperes of the show .
The cultural bonanza commenced on an auspicious note by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Guru Shovana Narayan, school Chairman Shri Rajpal, other distinguished guests and a melodious invocation to the Almighty. The beautiful Medley of Indian Classical and Folk Dancers were cheered by all. The Foot tapping beats of the Salsa, Jazz and Punjabi Dance set the stage afire and its electrifying moves made the audience explode with energy.
The enchanting symphony ‘Orchestra’ presented by the young brigade of VIS had everybody cheering and enjoying. The highlight of the cultural fest was a thought provoking play ‘Chanakya’ saluting the impeccable significance of a teacher in a pupil’s life. Around 500 students essayed various roles in the play and mesmerized everyone by their laudable performance.
The Annual Report presented by esteemed school Director, Mrs. Mrinalini Kaura highlighted the international, national and state level achievements and the prestigious awards received by the school this year. The memorable cultural fest culminated with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
