The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) with the support of Govt. of NCT of Delhi has organized a Seminar “Delhi – Kal Aaj Aur Kal” on 28th June, 2013 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Smt. Sheila Dixit, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi was the Chief Guest.
The seminar was to project the Growth and Development of Delhi in terms of physical and social infrastructure, human capital, economy employment scenario, environment, education, health care, transport, water and electricity, etc. Also the future needs of Delhi issues like waste management, traffic management, law & order, etc. were in the agenda.
On their invitation, a delegation of Dwarka Forum consisting of Sh. Sushil Kumar, Sh. Arvinder Singh Chhatwal and Sh. Rajiv Solanki attended the seminar and witnessed the vision and views of prominent speakers. Sh. Sushil Kumar raised the issue of water scarcity in Dwarka sub city and Sh. A.S. Chhatwal pointed out the safety of Dwarka residents especially the crime against women. While addressing, the Hon’ble Chief Minister commented on our queries. She admitted that Dwarka has a water problem. On law & order, she said that Delhi government is trying hard to ensure it. She also said that society has to change its attitude towards women. In reply, Sh. A.S. Chhatwal thanked the ASSOCHAM for inviting Dwarka Forum in a well arranged and very informative interactive seminar.
