Aurevoir – Glimpses 2013 held at N.K.Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka


‘Education is helping the child realize his potential’ rightly said by Enrich Fromm came true in letter and spirit when myriad activities unfolded to reveal the talent and confidence of the students of the primary wing on the occasion of the session closing ceremony Glimpses 2014. This annual event is celebrated every year to show the innate talent of  bagrodian scholars of the Primary wing and an opportunity for the parents to get a know how of the creative instincts of their wards. It also provides a chance to the parents to have a glimpse through a panorama of activities being showcased in the school for facilitating the teaching learning process.

Learning becomes interesting when fun aspect is associated with it. So the theme for the day was to enjoy learning through fun activities like skit, music, dance performances, quiz show, and game show based on mathematical calculations.

The ceremony witnessed an exhilarating start with welcome dance. It was indeed a wonderful sight to witness the little angels performing scintillating performances. The tiny tots of class I tried to sensitise the audience about the importance of eating nutritious food and avoiding junk food for good health by presenting a dance drama titled ‘Healthy Food’. Class II students successfully endeavoured to dramatise dance through witty and humorous tales of Tenali Raman showcasing unbreakable bond between a mother and her child on one hand and talking of ill effects of superstitions on the other. Students of class III enthralled the audience by showcasing their talents by presenting a dance drama –‘proud to be Indian’. India – the golden bird, British – the tyrant rulers and post 1947 with the sequence of events of Indian History and showcasing the progress of the nation during the 66 years of independence. 

All the students enthralled the audience by the breadth taking performance with expression of their thought processors and their emotions and melodious songs. There was no pre-recorded cassette used for the event and it was indeed mesmerizing that the students did less flaw back stage narration and play back singing themselves.

The day culminated with quiz shows and fun game show ‘Humbola’. Class I and II presented quiz shows in which the knowledge of the students and audience were tested through questions related to academics, environment, heritage, culture and general awareness through a series of audio – visual rounds. Class III organised a game show ‘Humbola’ – A tambola based on mathematical calculations. The audience including the principal of the school, teachers, parents and students participated wholeheartedly juggling their brains to find out the correct answer. It proved to be a fulfilled brainstorming session for the audience in invigorating reminiscences of their childhood. The guest of honour – Dr. S.K.Bhattacharya (Director NKBPS, Dwarka) blessed the efforts and hardwork of the teachers and the students. He also applauded and appreciated the co-operation extended by the parents to make the event a grand success.

The ceremony witnessed the participation from each and every child from all the classes of the primary wing. The students exuded so much of self confidence, talent and grace that onlookers were left, mesmerised with firm assurance in their minds that young bagrodians are the promising and successful future of tomorrow.
