Urivi Vikram Charitable Trust organized a two–day Career Mela on 16th & 17th December, 2011 at District Office Hall, Office of Deputy Director of Education District South West-B, Najafgarh, New Delhi-43 attended by almost 2,500 students.
The first day began with the topic “ How to choose Career ” This session was conducted by Mr. Bhupendra Kumar, who spoke about Career Planning, self assessment, goal setting, Perceptions about exploring Careers etc. The enthusiastic participants of nearly 2500 students made the event a great success.
The Programme was concluded with a Valedictory function presided over by Shri Anil Kumar Ojha, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police South-West District. Mr. Ojha appreciated the initiative of UVCT, he was very impressed with Project “Parivartan” aims to bring the Juveniles Delinquents into the mainstream through ‘Life Skills Education’ and skill up gradation. On this occasion Sh. Jang Bahadur Singh, Deputy Director of Education District South West-B, Najafgarh,Sh. C.S Yadav, Sh. B.D Kaushik, Sh. Sudheer Vashist, Dr Rajni Sharma, Sh.Rajvir Singh, Sh N.N Mishra, Mrs. Bharamer, Sh. Bhupendra Kumar, Dr. Padmanabha Vasudea, Colonel Sunil Yadav, Mrs. Vijay Laxmi Parihar, Mrs. Neha Gupta, Ms. Abhipsha, Sh. Vikram Singh etc were also present.
The 59th Career Mela had flashed amazing insights and an eye- opener for many students. The students participation in such large numbers indicated that the 59th Career mela was a well convinced and well organized to guide the students in order to fulfill our dream of making India a ‘Super Power’ and enable them to become economic productive and socially responsible citizens.
Shri Jang Bahadur Singh, Deputy Director(Education) South West-B, Najafgarh said that he was glad to have had the opportunity of holding such an informative, educative, motivating Career Mela in his District Office. He is hopeful that students have learnt a lot during this Career Mela. He felt that such Career Mela should be held regularly to provide information to choose the right option and make a success of their lives.
Last but not the least The Great mother & father Mrs. U Chaya and Dr UNB Rao,PhD, IPS (Retd.) who lost their only son “Vikram” at the age of 21, in an accident on 13, December, 2011. Vikram is the source of inspiration to the entire team of Urivi Vikram Charitable Trust.
